The sense of community in the music/arts scene seems at its strongest in my memory here in Toronto these days.

Perhaps it just has to do with getting older. On December 20 at the Tranzac club there is a celebration
of this spirit with a concert by the Woodchoppers Association (led by Dave Clark) . It will feature many local improvisers
and the money proceeds will go to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

I hope to see you there.

I am really into Elliot Sharp these days and just found this great road journal of his online.

http://w1.311.telia.com/~u31113551/road03.html

his tectonics recordings is my answer to what electronica COULD be!!

I am hoping you already know about the National Jazz Awards! I was nominated for best Jazz guitar but also Jean and Lina from Jazzstory were nominated for drums and trumpet respectively.

It is pretty cool to be on a list that includes some of my favourite guitarists and even one of my former teachers.

also, my friend Andy Milne's group Dapp Theory (they are great!) is up for electric band. Hope you can go to vote.
