I was having a long chat with another musician and we were talking about other artists and what they talki about or think about, conceptually etc.

Was fun to try to get inside others heads. Not easy for sure, even with people you know.

We came up with one phrase to describe a certatin artist that I thought was kinda cool.

... his paradigm doesn't match his place in time and geography"

It probably suits a number of artists and is almost more of an observation than a criticism. Sorry for
not using names. doesnt seem to make sense in this case. tim@guildwoodrecords.com

I think I am a bit of a sponge (maybe my first life) I soak up inspiration from the weirdest places. For
example an interview with almost any artist seems to shed light for me. Today it was that director,
he did Nashville...Alton?..Robert Altman. thats it!. Tonight it was my Don Cherry (the hockey analyst) auto
biography.

I dont really go looking for it but man....it finds me. Often insight seems clearer when it is from a non-musical source for me, whether it is life advice, creativity, new directions etc. I like the message coming in a bit
of a cloudy glass I suppose.

I am pretty amazed that my little, old, low end Mac can do so much. I was fillling out a grant application,
checking email and getting info from the net while listening to WFMU on the net...Oh, well it did crash eventually.

Computers are still quite amazing. I cant even imagine having lots of money to buy the latest model
with all the bells and whistles.

I was watching the making of "Finding NEmo" and those guys have some serious computers.

They also keep me organized. Imagine how big my desk piles would be without my "digital files and folders!!"
