I don't want this to become just another place for dropping names but; I was on a plane with that evil politician (yes, this is not a Conservative blog) Stephen Harper this evening. I asked him how he felt about the big announcment the Liberals made officially this morning about doubling the budget for the Canada Council for the Arts. (yes it's true!!)

His response was so typical...well first of all, he hadn't heard about it or read about it (this is at the end of the day they announced it!) So...it shows you how the arts fits into HIS day to day radar. Anyways, I asked him if he thought the budget increase would still be applied if he was in power and responded that I should be more worried if it will actually be applied if the Liberals stay in power. What a typical, shifty, political answer. I left him alone after that as I realised I wasn't really very interested in talking to him and he sat in first class and I sat where all the other people sit...although I was sitting about seven feet from him...he whispers when he talks on the plane...I was wondering if that was because he learned when some politician was taped "blabbing" on a plane across Canada a few years back. I could have easily taped him talking on my laptop...anyways...he was whispering, and I don't care what he is saying so...thats it. I look forward to the day when all hotels are wireless!! More blogging, less jogging?...huh?

good to be home.

Hello toronto,

I am out of town...I am quite sad to not be in Toronto tonight for the Grand Festival. I had to make decisions based on many things and here I am out of town.

I hope those that couldn't be at the Red Guitar tonight can make it out to the church on wards island on sunday.

I am not inspired to write much here in this internet cafe. will write more when I am feeling the love.

p.s. I am glad the argos are not in the grey cup as I would have felt somehow strange having our festival during the grey cup!
