correction: Don Franck, 740am Toronto mon-thurs 11pm-midnight. (even the website was wrong!) I just spoke with the man himself and he confirmed it form me. Makes more sense as DF is not for prime time (nothing personal Don!)

Don Francks is not only on the air Monday-thursday on 740 am here in toronto but his show is from 7pm-midnight...wow. Very cool...I am somewhat sad and embarrased that it took me this long to go to the website of 740 to get the details. Finally I am at home tonight with no big plans and he is not on the air Fridays. Damn.

Oh well. Don't forget. Next week. Am 740 from 7-midnight, mon-thurs (except that Wednesday you might want to go to my gig at the Red Guitar at 930pm)

The reason for that little TEST I did below is that I wasn't able to post for the last few days. i actually wondered if I had gone beyond the size limitations or something (bragging again...haha) i am getting close to 900 posts on this crazy blog. Have I really had that much to write about in the last few years?...some of you are shaking your heads...

anyways, I am back and tired tonight. I am happy to be lying on the couch listening to my new Stan Rogers record (yes vinyl) that I bought today for a looney.

I would like to be out listening to Geordie Haley's Everytime Band at the Red Guitar but I am so physically wiped that it is not going to happen (sorry Geordie)

I had fun there last night with Ben Grossman. Lots of suprises, as is the nature of improvised music but I thought some of it was fun and different than some of our other directions we had travelled together.

I am really looking forward to one week from tonight when Andrew Downing and I are going to play a set of duo music (banjo and cello) followed by myself, Ravi Nampally and Nate Renner.(august 23)

It looks like we are going forward with a documentary about the making of my next Cd with the Hornband. This seems somewhat exciting, although I can already imagine the idea of being followed by a camera for the next year plus could be a bit much at times.

That's it for now. Any questions?

Don't forget tommorrow night Ben Grossman (amazing Hurdy Gurdy player) performing the first set at the REd Guitar with me and second set with Sean O'Connor (7pm and 8pm respectively)

I get to play some Casio, some laptop...heck even a little guitar!

Sad but it seems like the last chances to hang out at this great club are in the final weeks of summer. (no one has stepped up and bought it yet...to my knowledge)

Had an exciting meeting tonight with director Derek Ryan about the possibility of making a documentary about me and my music (I like a good mirror so...you can imagine how this excites me!...haha)

Yoga tommorrow...excellent.

p.s. just got back from the Maple Leaf website...little worried about our forwards.

I hope people are going to come down to the Red Guitar tommorrow (tues) to hear Ben Grossman. He is such a great musician and most people haven't heard something like him playing the Hurdy Gurdy before.

I always look forward to performing with him but I get extra excited because I play some casio and some laptop when I perform with him.

These days, I have been playing so much banjo that playing guitar is a rarity (so I look forward to that)

Had a good meeting with director Derek Ryan tonight. It looks like we are going to move forward on this documentary about me and my music. Very exciting. I hope we can make it happen.

As I type I am downloading a great Leonard Cohen interview with our former Gov. Gen. Adrienne Clarkson. (circa 69)

I am hoping to pull it out on the gig and use it as an improv "gag" tommorrow...hope Ben is not reading this as it will spoil the suprise.

Cohen is saying nice things about Torontopia!!
