Hi there, lots of stuff going on. (and I am trying to finalize some details for summer touring with my Hornband)

The Shinhackers are alive and screaming (or trying to sing beautiful three part harmonies!) and Tuesdays continue at Todo with Andrew Downing. Sundays in March at the Gem are going to be great. Our first gig there was packed (on Superbowl Sunday) and we had a great time.

Here's the immediate Shinhacker schedule:
Saturday, Feb 14th
4-6:30pm
The Shinhacker Valentines matinee

at the Eton House Tavern
710 Danforth Ave
at Pape

Sunday, March 1st
7-9pm
Shinhacker Sunday Series

at the Gem
1159 Davenport Road
just west of Ossington

So much fun playing all these gigs in my hood. Last night at Todo was a hoot!

Good to play music with some interesting forms and harmonic and rhythmic material that I have dealt with over the years. What I mean is; nice to take a quick break from Bluegrass. Although I came home and put some on the stereo right away so...ha!

We are there again for the next two tuesdays (banjo cello trumpet tuba) and the Shinhackers are negotiating many local gigs. (Also some East end ones for those readers out that way!!)

I thought I had more to say when I started typing and now I just crave more coffee and want to get to practising...sorry.

I send out an email (probably about once a month) to let people know about my upcoming shows. If you want to get on that list please drop me a line at tim@guildwoodrecords.com

Here is the note I just sent out. It covers my three Tuesdays in February gig with Andrew Downing and a whole lot more.

Hi there, lots of local music action coming up that I wanted to let you know about.

The next three tuesdays (all in February) Andrew Downing and I have invited some friends to add to our banjo and cello thing we do. (see details below)

Also, there is much "cuffuffle" (people say it but does it really exist?) about our bluegrass group the Shinhackers and all the gigs that are in the works.

Just to throw out a couple RUMOURS; we might be doing four Sundays in March at the Gem and starting an indefinite run of Thursday nights at the big old, legendary Eton House on the Danforth (just east of Pape) and quite possibly a Valentines day matinee there too.

For all things Shinhacker related (included some recent live recordings, and our gig schedule) please go to:

I may send out one more reminder if all this stuff is soon confirmed.

sincerely,

tim
